Riverside, California – January 13, 2010 – In response to market demand, Bourns® Resistive Products Division announces the release of a new flatted shaft style for our Model PDB18 Series Potentiometer. Other shaft options already available are knurled and plain shaft styles.

Model PDB18 features single and dual gang options, center detent option, and a wide assortment of resistances and tapers. This product is RoHS compliant*.
The PDB18 Series Potentiometer is widely used in audio, video and broadcast applications, and support equipment.

Riverside, California – January 13, 2010 – Bourns® Resistive Products Division announces the release of a new shaft option for our Model PDA24 Series 24 mm Long Life Potentiometer in support of the Professional Audio Market. This model is now available with an 18 tooth knurled shaft.

This specialty potentiometer is commonly used in guitar and bass amplifiers. However, it is also suitable for use in electric guitars and basses. This product is designed with the features most widely requested by amplifier designers.

Riverside, California – January 12, 2010 – Bourns® Resistive Products Division announces the release of our new Model PDB182-GTRB Series “Blend-Balance” Guitar Potentiometer in support of the Professional Audio Market.

This custom guitar potentiometer, best known as a “blend-balance pot,” is designed for use as a balance control between two guitar pick-ups, where the volume level of each pick-up can be blended by utilizing a single dual-gang control. The unique M and N audio tapers provide volume blending capability to the guitarist. This product is designed with the features most widely requested by master luthiers.

This custom guitar potentiometer, best recognized for its “Bourns blue” color, was originally designed and produced for two leading guitar companies in the late 1970s. This product is a culmination of popular features most widely requested by master luthiers.
